How is sausage made? How much do you know about the products in the supermarket? What is involved when making culinary delights? The Open Day at the new SVO location at Sleepboot 2 in Houten allows visitors to taste, smell, feel and experience what a career in food entails.
The new SVO place of education in Houten opens its doors in September. However, visitors will be able to be acquainted during the Open Day on Tuesday 3 March 2015. They will receive a guided tour and enthusiastic teachers and students will talk about the SVO courses and answer any questions you may have.
Visitors will also be given the opportunity to taste, smell, feel and experience what a career in food entails. Culinary delights will be prepared in the on-site kitchen, which visitors are more than welcome to taste. They can also test their product knowledge at an inspection stand or get to know the new mbo-4 Manager training and participate in a mock exam about the fast service sector.
ReflexSystems, as SVO partner, will be there giving inspiring presentations about the technical side of weighing and registering. At two locations in the new building, visitors can experience what it is like to work with weighing scales and software. It is impossible to imagine the food industry without automation. ReflexSystems therefore believes it is important that students get to know such solutions at an early stage in their education.
